Règlement

Le Festival est ouvert à tous courts-métrages de moins de 30 minutes et terminés après le 1er janvier 2025. La participation est gratuite. Les participant·es peuvent postuler à quatre compétitions :

1 - Compétition européenne :
Section ouverte aux œuvres de fiction, animation et documentaires, produits sur le territoire européen. Formats de projection requis : DCP 2K non crypté / sous-titrage en français obligatoire.

2 - Compétition francophone · Humour et comédie :
Section ouverte aux films tournés en français dans un pays de l’espace francophone dont le thème est « HUMOUR & COMÉDIE ». Format de projection requis : DCP 2K non crypté et fichier numérique ProRes stéréo / sous-titrage en français obligatoire.

3 - Compétition internationale • Films de genre : Zombie / Horreur / Gore :
Section ouverte aux films internationaux correspondant à la catégorie "zombie, horreur, gore". Formats de projection requis : DCP 2K non crypté / sous-titrage en français obligatoire.

4 - Compétition régionale :
Films tournés et/ou produits en Bourgogne Franche-Comté. Formats de projection requis : DCP 2K non crypté / sous-titrage en français obligatoire.

INSCRIPTIONS

5 - L’inscription se fait du 18 février au 20 mai 2026 pour toutes les compétitions. Le film peut ne pas être achevé à cette date.

6 - Les inscriptions se font en ligne sur la plateforme d’inscription des courts-métrages aux festivals à l’adresse : https://www.shortfilmdepot.com
Chaque film inscrit devra être visible en ligne.

CONDITIONS RELATIVES À LA SÉLECTION DES FILMS

7 - Le comité de sélection et la direction artistique du festival visionnent les films à Dijon. Le résultat de la sélection est transmis au producteur·rice et/ou au réalisateur·rice.

CONDITIONS RELATIVES AUX FILMS RETENUS PAR LE FESTIVAL

8 - L’avis de sélection finale sera communiqué au plus tard le 31 juillet 2026.

9 - Les copies des films sélectionnés devront être envoyées avant le 21 septembre 2026 à l’adresse suivante :

10 - Pour les films nécessitant des sous-titres, l’envoi de fichier avec sous-titre est souhaité. Si pour des raisons techniques la copie avec sous-titre ne peut être envoyée, merci de prévenir l’équipe du festival dès l’annonce de la sélection.

CONDITIONS RELATIVES À LA DIFFUSION

11 - L’envoi de la copie du film au Festival sera à la charge de l’expéditeur·rice. Les frais de transport retour seront à la charge du Festival.

12 - Les frais d’assurance des films ne seront pris en charge qu’uniquement pendant la durée du festival.

CONDITION RELATIVE À LA PRÉSENCE DES RÉALISATEURS

13 - Le Festival prend à sa charge, en partie et sous conditions, l’hébergement et le transport des réalisateur·rices en compétition officielle, le jour de la diffusion de leur film. En ce qui concerne le déplacement des participant·es étranger·es, chaque cas sera étudié individuellement et des aides au transport pourront être octroyées.

CONDITION RELATIVE À L’EXPLOITATION

14 - Les participant·es cèdent au Festival, sans contrepartie, le droit de reproduction des photographies ou d’un extrait de moins de trois minutes de leur film pour diffusion dans les publications du Festival, dans la presse, sur les antennes de télévision et sur le réseau Internet. En accord avec les ayants-droits, certains films primés pourront être rediffusés dans des salles de cinéma et lieux de diffusion partenaires du Festival.

LE JURY / LES PRIX

15 - Le jury est composé de représentant·es du monde des arts et du spectacle, de professionnel·les du cinéma, de l’audiovisuel et des médias.

16 - Sous réserves de modification, les prix remis aux lauréats du 31ème Festival Fenêtres sur Courts seront :

Regulations

REGISTRATION / 2 competitions

1 - European Competition:
The competition is opened to all producers and directors of short-length films produced in Europe. There is no restriction concerning the kind of film: drama movie, documentary, animated movie…

2 - Zombie / Horror / Gore International Competition: Section opened to international films respecting the thematic.

3 - The registration at the Festival is free of charge.

5 - Registrations should be submitted before 20th of May 2026 for all competitions. Films do not need to be finished to be registered.

SELECTION PROCESS

7 - Selecting sessions are held in Dijon. The producer enrolled is informed of the result of the selection. Films must be subtitled in French.

FILMS SELECTED FOR THE FESTIVAL

8 - Once the selection process is over, films selected to enter the Festival will be announced at the latest on July 2026.

9 - Screening files of the selected films must be received by the 21th of September 2026 at the relevant collection points to be detailed at a later date.

10 - French subtitles for selected movies will be appreciated. In case the director or producer cannot provide French subtitles, they are asked to inform us as soon when the selection is announced. The festival team will see film by film if they can take care of subtitling the film themselves. In this case the subtitles remain the property of the festival. However the subtitles could be charged to the producer or director to make use of it.

SCREENING PROCESS

11 - The Festival requires notification of any fault or damage to screening materials prior to dispatch. Applicants requiring extra care for their screening materials should make this clear when registering and again while sending the material.

12 - Shipping costs to the Festival or to any collection points will be covered by the sender. The forwarding charges for return will be covered by the Festival.

13 - In case of damage or loss of material between reception and reshipment of the films, the liability of the Festival cannot exceed, as a maximum, the cost of reprinting the film, cost calculated on the basis of net prices at the rates applied in the various countries.

FILMMAKERS’ ATTENDANCE

14 - The Festival will cover part of hotel costs and meals for filmmakers and producers whose films are in Official Competition. Concerning foreign participants, travel grants may be allocated on a case by case basis.

MEDIA AND PUBLICITY

15 - The right-holders of the selected films authorize free reproduction of stills and clips [under three minutes] for all Festival publications, press, TV coverage and on Internet.

JURY / AWARDS

16 - Jury will be mainly made up of professionals from the film industry and the audiovisual media.

17 - Subject to modification, prices of the 31th Festival will be :
